		<description>&lt;p&gt;i still don&#039;t fully understand what is meant by terminal emulation.  It would be nice if you are able to draw a diagram showing how the old physical terminals where connected (of course, what are the layers used there), and how that evolved over to the modern pseudo-terminal.  Maybe by seeing the old system, one can understand why pseudo-terminals are needed in the first place&lt;/p&gt;
